in front of the virgin canvas.
A very intense moment, the memory an emotional one.
I remember when, apparently a useless spectator,
I was present at this magic moment when painting and music were
born one of the other.
They were at the
same moment attached the one to the other and limitless in their
Both creations led to another plane.
Born in September, 1963,
Jean-Baptiste Loussier studied the piano with Pierre Sancan of the Conservatoire
National de Musique de Paris then at the l'Ecole Normale de Musique de
Paris with Serge Petitgirard and Madeleine Giraudeau-Basset.
With diplomas in piano, harmony, counterpoint, he was also the winner
of the "concours superior" for chamber music held at the Ecole
Normale in 1961.
From 1986 onwards he has concentrated on composition, orchestration and
recording music for the television, advertising and film industries.
In 1992, he started composing music to paintings by O.Merijon.
The concept of "painting - music" was born.
A musical inspiration corresponds to each depicted emotion.
